Delhi Metro: Desi Aunty Calls Out Couple for Using PDA on the Train and Internet Commenters Say to “Mind Your Own Business”

Conflicts are as regular on the Delhi metro as they are among riders on the trains, which has made it a popular location for viral films. The internet can’t get enough of the new videos that are released every day showing individuals fighting and turning a place into a battlefield. A new video—thankfully not another fistfight—in which a Desi Aunty took it upon herself to chastise a couple for their alleged Public Display of Affection (PDA) inside the train is another addition to this repertory. As was to be anticipated, the video immediately gained popularity, leaving fans wondering when such aunties would learn to behave themselves.

An elderly lady is heard berating a woman in Hindi while saying, “I’ve been watching for the past hour… what she’s doing,” in an Instagram clip posted by user @vikass.nepalii. She may stroke his cheeks or tease him, among other things. The woman responded while spectators tried to defuse the situation, which caused the old woman to further humiliate her by stating, “It doesn’t look good.”

A eyewitness recorded the event on camera during the chatter and excitement, and the footage, as expected, went viral on Instagram.

People started discussing the subject shortly after that. In response to a user’s remark, another said, “I always wonder where this gyan of these aunties vanishes when people fight in public.. khulle main ladai varjit nhi hai lo.” A other commenter added, “Dear Aunty, next time when you see a person taking a crap on the road.. (possibly your own husband).. pls inform him ‘acha nahi lagta beta’? Apko dekhna ya woh acha lagta hai? Just curious!”

There were many who agreed with Desi Aunty’s criticism, however. “The people who are justifying the actions of these couples should understand it honestly doesn’t looks good, you do romance in clubs, cafes that would be okay but public transportation please maintain dignity!” said one person.

The video has received 66K likes and more than 2.5 million views since it was uploaded.

on the meanwhile, this event is not the first instance of an Aunty being observed reprimanding a couple on the Delhi subway. An earlier social media video showed a couple arguing with two aunties on the Delhi metro. While the pair claimed that they had done nothing illegal and that both sides should mind their own business, the women accused them of standing too near to one another.
