Delicious is the place where visitors from all over the globe should come to experience delicious sherbet. Who, you ask? Did you bring Sharbat-e-Mohabbat to Delhi first? People are still blown away by this mania to this day.

Nawab Qureshi, a sherbet vendor in the Matia Mahal bazaar in Old Delhi, reportedly began producing this sherbet in 2000. He claimed to have developed this dish after returning to Delhi after learning it in Mumbai. During a recent media interview, Amanullah Sahab, an old man, said that Nawab Qureshi had arrived in Delhi with Sharbat-e-Mohabbat for the first time.

While giving the recipe for Sharbat-e-Mohabbat, Nawab further said that cutting the watermelon into little pieces is the first step in making this sherbet. After putting these pieces in milk, Rooh Afza and sugar syrup are added, and the mixture is combined with ice. The finished product is then presented to the clients in plastic glasses. Regarding the pricing, he said that a single glass was Rs 50.

When Nawab gave Sharbat-e-Mohabbat, he did it by uttering “Tapa-Tap,” which went viral on social media. He still uses his hands to help people drink sherbet in the same manner. Nawaz gave an explanation of the meaning of his Tapa-Tap discourse, pointing out that Tapa-Tap is the Bengali word for eating. For this reason, he uses this statement to force his clients to consume sherbet. Serving Sherbet this way is justified by the fact that it has helped him become well-known and distinctive on social media.
