Reacting to T-Series’ Call for Subscribers, Mr. Beast reignites the feud over the most subscribed spot on YouTube

It seems that T-Series and this well-known YouTuber are embroiled in another fight. With 252 million members, Mr. Beast has just achieved a significant milestone, bringing his channel’s subscriber base close to that of T-Series, which has 263 million. Although Mr. Beast is the most subscribed “individual” channel on YouTube, T-Series, an Indian music organization, has the largest number of subscribers overall. It seems like Mr. Beast may now unseat T-Series as the most subscribed channel overall, a title that it has long held. A video that T-Series posted on X on April 17 urged viewers to subscribe in order to “be part of the T Family.”

Gulshan Kumar, the late founder of T-Series, was cited in the video as saying, “I want to put India and my people at the top of the international platform.” Come, hold my hand, and let’s collaborate to turn my idea into your dream. May our dream come true. As the corporation pleaded with viewers, the national flag was also shown in the video. Before long, this video had over 2.1 million views.

Jimmy Donaldson, also known as Mr. Beast, posted a remark on this video saying, “Naw, subscribe to me instead.” It’s interesting to note that although the T-Series video only received 2,900 likes, this remark received over 100,000.

Not everyone found the T-Series post to be impressive. The corporation was criticized by many Indians for its severe copy-right strikes. “Don’t play patriotic nonsense,” X user commented. You people don’t even give our own creators a break for a minute or two. T-Series, unsubscribe now.

It’s important to note that T-Series and Mr. Beast have a long-standing animosity. When PewDiePie, a Swedish YouTuber, and T-Series competed in 2019 to become the “most subscribed YouTube channel,” MrBeast fiercely backed PewDiePie, purchasing billboards around the USA in favor of PewDiePie. In addition, Mr. Beast and his pals purchased Super Bowl seats behind the goalposts and donned shirts that said “SUB 2 PEW DIE PIE.” After being the first YouTube channel to gain over 100 million subscribers on May 29, 2019, T-Series became victorious in this contest.

Thanks to his challenging tasks, charity efforts, and high-budget game show-style movies, MrBeast’s popularity has skyrocketed in recent years. MrBeast, a 25-year-old YouTuber, celebrated reaching over 200 million followers in October 2023 by writing on the platform, “This is just the beginning, now it’s time we rally and pass T-Series to avenge PewDiePie.”

Seeing who “wins” this time will be intriguing.
