Safety concerns are raised after a man’s horrific encounter with an Uber driver in Delhi. This is what happened

Ride-hailing services like Uber have become a necessary part of our everyday lives in the modern world. Traveling has become easier and even safer thanks to these applications. However, worries about the security of ride-hailing services have been raised by a recent incident involving an Uber journey. In the situation under consideration, a guy experienced a very harrowing Uber journey.

Gajender Yadav, an X user, shared his X experience. “If you are in Delhi, avoid riding with Karan; his car number is DL1RTB4168,” he added. The taxi driver for Uber India, @Uber_Support, is acting in a really ridiculous manner. The cabbie began demanding an additional ₹200 after they had driven for one kilometer. In order to resolve this issue, my wife even used the SOS button to call Uber for assistance. Not a single Uber employee is interested in finding out the precise reason why SOS was pushed after two days. No investigation. That’s how Uber India operates. After reading this message, I’m certain they won’t even bother to look into the issue. For Uber, passenger safety is a farce. Yadav posted screenshots of his chat with Uber in a follow-up remark. The business offered an apology for the event and gave him his money back. But Yadav made it clear that safety was more important than money. In addition, he said that the Uber taxis’ SOS buttons were broken.

“@Uber, @Uber_India, and @UberIN_Support wake up after this thread went viral,” he said in a later post. The man took note of all our worries. requested that we take. He promised to return your call. Regarding the SOS incident, Uber claims it was not handled by them and is the responsibility of a third party.”

On April 22, the original tweet was sent out. It has received over two million views since it was uploaded. There are a ton of likes and comments on the post.

“Everything is a joke for Uber India,” one person commented. Lately, @Uber_India India claimed that the price paid at the time of booking was more than what was shown. Uber is now @Olacabs.

“It’s been a while since I stopped using Uber Ola for important travel plans,” said the second person. It is preferable to have a local taxi driver contact; you will feel more at ease even if you pay them an additional $200–$300.”

“An Uber driver informed me that the SOS button is inoperable and simply for show. A third person said, “He even pressed it twice in front of me, and nothing happened.”
