This Lucknow store offers confections crafted from 24-karat gold for Rs 55,000 a kilogram

Lucknow is renowned for its wide variety of delicious cuisines. There are various mouthwatering foods to choose from on the streets of Lucknow, such as Galauti Kebab, Awadhi Biryani, Shahi Tukda, and Zafrani Kheer. The city recently garnered news for offering one of the few 24-carat gold candies in the world, whose cost has been increasing faster than the Sensex.

According to rumors, Chhappan Bhog, one of the well-known sweet shops in Lucknow’s Sadar Bazaar, serves confections dipped in 24K gold and topped with dried fruits imported from all over the globe. The price of this candy has been Rs 50,000 a kilogram up until this point, but it will likely grow when its color, shape, and size change.

Exotica is the name of the confection produced by Chhappan Bhog confectionary. One of Lucknow’s most costly candies is this one. But it’s important to observe that in Lucknow, this delectable cuisine has come to represent social standing. In an interview with News18, the candy store’s owner, Ravindra Gupta, said that “This sweet was first made in 2009 at the request of a customer and within no time this sweet has become famous all over the world.”

India’s populace are now engulfed in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup excitement over the holiday season. Chhappan Bhog has chosen to launch a candy that is the color and form of the World Cup in order to stay up with consumer requests and market trends. The appearance of the treat will alter once again after the conclusion of the cricket event. “The price of gold is rising rapidly,” Ravindra Gupta said in the same interview. It is tough to predict that the price of this candy would stay at Rs 50,000 in such a circumstance.

He also said that it has recently been customary for couples to exchange sweets as wedding presents. The price of the Exotica Sweet, which is marketed for Rs 50,000 per kilogram, rises as soon as the wedding season starts. There are 100 pieces in it. The sweet weighs 10 grams and costs Rs 500 for one piece. In addition, the candy is offered in a gift box with four pieces for Rs 2,000. According to Gupta, three to four cartons costing Rs 2,000 are sold on average each day. The 100-piece package is often purchased for major wedding ceremonies or holiday seasons. From nations like England, London, the USA, and Dubai, people from other countries also purchase the 100-piece package, which costs Rs 55,000.

Exotica Sweet also includes dried fruits from all around the globe in addition to the 24-carat gold. The Exotica Sweet has dried fruits from all over the world, including Macadamia nuts from South Africa, pine nuts from Kinnaur in Himachal Pradesh, Mamra almonds from Iran, blueberries from the United States, pistachios from Afghanistan, hazelnuts from Turkey, and saffron from Kashmir.
