Trending: An Osmania University watchman secures two government positions

Many people find government positions very appealing. Government positions come with social prestige, job security, health insurance, housing, and a host of other amenities in addition to a competitive salary. But securing a job in the public sector requires a great deal of planning, diligence, and commitment.

So, it was really a noteworthy occasion when a night watchman was able to get two government positions. Golle Praveen Kumar, a 31-year-old Telangana resident, reportedly received an employment letter for a postgraduate teaching job after completing the competitive tests. On the final list, he was also chosen for the Junior Lecturer (JL) position.

Golle Praveen Kumar used to serve as a night watchman at Osmania University in Hyderabad before obtaining two government posts, according to the Times of India. In the Mancherial district of Telangana, his mother works as a beedi worker, and his father is a mason. In an interview with the publication, the now-government employee said that, despite having degrees like an MCom, BEd, and MEd, he had accepted to work as a watchman so that he could study in the mornings and be ready for the competitive exams.

The guy went on to say that he never felt like he was working as a watchman. For him, obtaining the time to study was the most important thing since taking government examinations often requires a lot of time to prepare for. “I never thought of my work as a job. I had time to study, a place, and access to materials and books. And that was all that was important,” he said, according to TOI. Golle Praveen Kumar went on to say that he had specifically asked to serve as a night watchman at the Educational MultiMedia Research Center on the campus of Osmania University in order to dedicate his early hours to studying.

Golle Praveen Kumar is now qualified to instruct upper secondary pupils as a result of his government positions. Even though he now earns Rs 9,000 per month, these postings might provide him the chance to earn a substantial income of between Rs 73,000 and Rs 83,000. The guy is excited to start working as a junior lecturer (JL), according to TOI.
