As of April 22, Yashavi Jaiswal became the most recent player to strike a century against the Mumbai Indians, bringing the total number of centuries in the IPL 2024 to seven.

Reaching a century in a Twenty20 contest is never simple. Because of its fast tempo and low ball count, a hitter can only score in the three figures with very good hitting. However, the competition has seen some incredible knocks throughout the years.

In the IPL, how many centuries have been scored?
In 17 seasons since the tournament’s inception in 2008, 89 centuries have been achieved. In the IPL, 47 hitters have scored a century.

Who was the first IPL player to strike a century?
When the IPL debuted in 2008 against Royal Challengers Bangalore, hitter Brendon McCullum of the Kolkata Knight Riders scored an incredible 158 runs.

IPL batters with the most hundreds
With eight hundred, Virat Kohli leads all IPL players in centuries. Chris Gayle, a former RCB batsman, also amassed six century throughout the competition. While former RCB and CSK player Shane Watson, LSG captain KL Rahul, and current DC captain David Warner have each hit four hundred, current Rajasthan Royals opener Jos Buttler has amassed seven centuries.

IPL 2024 Centuries
On April 6, Virat Kohli struck his eighth century against the Rajasthan Royals, marking the first century of the 2024 Indian Premier League. Currently, he leads the IPL in hundreds. In the same game, Josh Buttler scored his first of the season, adding another to the list. Against the Chennai Super Kings, Rohit Sharma recorded his third century of the year in a losing cause. Marcus Stoinis of LSG is the player with the best individual score so far in the IPL 2024 season with 124.

2009 Centuries in the IPL
