“Nityanand Rai has ₹15.45cr worth of assets.”
Patna: In his submitted affidavit, senior BJP leader and Union minister Nityanand Rai disclosed movable and immovable assets valued at Rs 15.45 crore. Rai is running for re-election under the NDA from the Ujiarpur Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar. The assets of his spouse are Rs 2.47 crore.
Elections for the Lok Sabha seats of Ujiarpur, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Begusarai, and Munger are planned for the fourth round on May 13, and Rai filed his nomination papers for Ujiarpur on Tuesday.
Rai’s affidavit states that the value of his immovable assets is Rs 9.92 crore, while his moveable assets are estimated at Rs 5.52 crore.
The immovable assets of his wife are assessed at Rs 2.04 crore, while her moveable assets are estimated at Rs 42.9 lakh.
Rai further said that he had Rs 3.25 lakh in cash on hand, while his wife had Rs 1.35 lakh.
His wife has one bank account, gold jewelry valued at Rs 21.60 lakh, silver jewellery valued at Rs 1.23 lakh, and four bank accounts totaling Rs 13.20 lakh.
Among Rai’s real estate holdings are 2,704 sheesham, 1,831 mahogany, and 105 mango and litchi trees on ancestral land (PTI).
