Congress under Lalu Yadav, our battle with RJD only: Bihar BJP head

Samrat Choudhary, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Bihar, said that Lalu Yadav is in charge of the Congress party in the state, after the assertion that Lalu Prasad Yadav, the chairman of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), attended a Congress party event at Sadaqat Ashram in Patna the day before.

His remarks followed the RJD chief’s declaration that the caste census in Bihar had started the countdown to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government.

A guilty individual is not fit to serve in politics. Given a platform by a party devoid of a leader and no longer influential in Bihar, he is free to say anything he pleases, according to Choudhary.

He said that the RJD is the target of the BJP’s battle in Bihar, not the Congress or the chief minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal-United.

Congress is forced to take a backseat on the RJD. Laluji will decide what has to be done by the Congress, according to Choudhary.

Claiming that the caste census was conducted for social upliftment rather than political benefit, Choudhary said that it is not a significant component.

“Lalu Ji is trying to make the caste census appear like a political tool, but it was actually for social upliftment.” But he is limited by his focus on politics and family, Choudhary said.

The head of the Bihar BJP said that people could read between the lines with ease. Laluji could have completed the caste census during his party’s 15-year rule if he had been sincere about it. But now that he has tricked everyone, he wants to claim credit for something he did not do. The BJP will not allow him to further inflame caste animosity. Without regard to caste or race, the Narendra Modi administration helps the impoverished,” he said.
