RJD releases a list of four candidates for the Bihar MLC election, including Abdul Bari Siddiqui and Rabri Devi

For the MLC elections, which are set for March 11, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has put former minister Abdulbari Siddiqui and former chief minister Rabri Devi on the ballot. After his son Sudhakar Singh, an MLA, was assured of a Lok Sabha ticket, RJD state president Jagdanand Singh, who was anticipated to receive an MLC ticket, withdrew his candidacy.
Dr. Urmila Thakur and Faisal Ali, the candidate from the Sheohar parliamentary constituency, are two more names that have appeared on the list.

March 11 is the deadline for MLC election nominations. The votes of twenty-one Assembly members are needed to win a seat in the Legislative Council. Based on statistical data, it appears that NDA is winning six seats in this scenario. Five Grand Alliance candidates could emerge victorious.

Shashi Yadav, the leader of the CPI(ML) Liberation’s women’s wing, was declared a candidate for the upcoming elections to the Bihar state legislative council last week.

Yadav, national vice-president of the All India Progressive Women’s Association (AIPWA), and general secretary of the CPI(ML) Liberation, Dipankar Bhattacharya, were present at the press conference where the announcement was made.

In the 243-member assembly, the Left party, which has 12 MLAs, is an ally of the Congress-RJD coalition, which it would need to win an Upper House seat from.
