Only 4 people died from heat stroke, according to the minister of disaster management for Bihar

Only four people have died from heat stroke in the state of Bihar, according to the minister responsible for disaster management, who made this assertion on Tuesday.

According to the sources, Shahnawaz Alam also claimed that “other factors” were to blame for the other 22 fatalities that have occurred thus far.

According to the minister, heat stroke was the cause of two fatalities in Jehanabad and two more in Bhojpur in the previous 48 hours.

According to Shahnawaz Alam of PTI, the ministry is awaiting the results of the post-mortem examinations on five more fatalities in order to ascertain the cause of the state’s rising death toll. We won’t be able to determine the cause of the fatalities until we get the post-mortem findings for five more deaths, he added. Only four individuals have perished thus far as a result of the state’s extreme heat wave. Heat stroke was determined to be the cause of death after autopsies on four corpses.

In addition, Alam said, “As far as 22 deaths that were attributed to heat stroke have been found to be caused by other factors… not heat stroke.”

Five individuals have died in Bhojpur over the last two days from heat stroke, according to a news release from the district administration’s Disaster Management Department on Monday. Shahnawaz Alam, however, declined to comment, claiming that all the circumstances were being examined.

The minister said, “We have asked districts across the state to report any deaths that may have occurred due to intense heatwave conditions,” according to a statement sent to the media. A sweltering heatwave is presently gripping sections of the state. The state’s Disaster Management Department (DMD) is keeping an eye on the situation. Additionally, we have given district authorities advice to keep an eye on the situation in their particular areas.

A searing heatwave that has gripped Bihar just shattered the previous record of 11 years.

On Monday, temperatures in various locations around the state reached 43 degrees Celsius or more.
