A new ad-free premium subscription at Rs 29 per month is announced by JioCinema

In an effort to compete with Netflix, Disney+Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, and other Indian OTT rivals in the market, JioCinema has announced considerable price reductions for its subscription packages for premium content.

For ₹29 a month, JioCinema Premium will provide ad-free content in many languages, including movies, TV programs, children’s programming, and original series. The content may be accessed on any device, including connected TV sets.

The recently unveiled plans provide users access to 4K quality premium content that is accessible in five languages, both online and offline.

To cater to families, JioCinema has launched a ‘family package’ that costs only Rs 89 per month and permits four screen visits at the same time.

Current JioCinema premium subscribers may upgrade to the family plan at no extra charge, gaining access to more features and flexibility in their viewing experience.

Through the platform’s ad-supported service, JioCinema will continue to give free access to sports programming, including the current Indian Premier League (IPL).

With large international studios including Peacock, HBO, Paramount, and Warner Bros. Discovery that provide programming globally, JioCinema has increased its ties.

When comparing the JioCinema Premium package to other services like Netflix, Disney+Hotstar, and Amazon Prime Video, the price difference is substantial. At ₹649 a month, Netflix’s premium plan lets you access 4K content on as many as four devices at once. The premium package for Disney+Hotstar costs ₹1,499 annually or ₹299 monthly. For ₹1,499 per year or ₹299 per month, Amazon Prime Video is packaged with Amazon Prime. Furthermore, Prime Lite is available from Amazon for ₹799 per year, which includes free delivery and ad-supported access to Prime Video content.
