For the first time, IndiGo introduces in-flight entertainment on the Delhi–Goa route; see features and trial information

IndiGo in-flight entertainment: On its Delhi-Goa route, IndiGo has launched a trial run of in-flight entertainment. The airline intends to provide entertainment for passengers traveling between Delhi and Goa via its app on a trial basis. IndiGo will be offering in-flight entertainment to its clients for the first time as of May 1.

Trial characteristics and information
During the three-month experiment, passengers may use the IndiGo app on their smartphones to access in-flight entertainment material, according to press sources.

To protect onboard equipment, the service will only be accessible until the aircraft reaches cruising altitude. To experience the material, passengers will need to have their own headphones.

Prospective schemes and growth
IndiGo intends to completely deploy in-flight entertainment to enhance the travel experience for its patrons if the trial phase proceeds as planned. With more than 350 aircraft and 2,000 daily flights, IndiGo wants to improve the experience of flying for its customers.

It is anticipated that the experiment on the Delhi-Goa route would serve as a springboard for a more widespread rollout across the airline’s network.

The Group Managing Director of InterGlobe, Rajat Bhatia, has shown his appreciation for the Indian government’s efforts in the aviation sector. IndiGo’s parent firm is called InterGlobe.

“The way this government is working in the aviation sector, I have never seen it before in my thirty years,” Bhatia said in an interview with ANI. He highlighted the amazing advancements in airport infrastructure development, which have significantly increased accessibility to air travel.

Bhatia also saw a shift in the government’s viewpoint about aviation. He said the days of plane travel being associated with elitism were long gone. Rather, it is now seen as an essential part of the nation’s infrastructure and is drawing a growing number of first-time travelers.
