LinkedIn Report: Top Indian Companies for Career Growth: TCS, Accenture, and Cognizant
Jobs site for social media LinkedIn has published a list of the top 25 Indian firms for career advancement. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is ranked first in the “LinkedIn Top Companies in India 2024” study, followed by Accenture and Cognizant.
According to a blog post by LinkedIn, “Our 8th annual LinkedIn Top Companies list puts a spotlight on the 25 leading workplaces with more than 5,000 employees globally to grow your career in India.” It also said that the technique used is centered on how people are promoted, how learning new skills may be beneficial, and other aspects.
LinkedIn reports that hiring requirements are promising for the current quarter. “India Inc. is going above and beyond in addition to recruiting to keep staff members on board. Examples of this include revamping the stock options they offer and providing fertility benefits.”
LinkedIn’s 2024 Top Indian Companies
The top place in LinkedIn’s list of the Top Companies in India 2024 went to TCS, the biggest IT firm in India, followed by Accenture and Cognizants. Nine financial service businesses are included among the top 25. Macquarie Group, ranked fourth, Morgan Stanley, ranked fifth, and JPMorgan Chase & Co., ranked sixth, are among them.
Technology-related businesses such as HCL Enterprise (12th), Amazon (15th), and Mastercard (17th) came next. Pharmaceutical companies were particularly well-represented, with Viatris (25th), Novo Nordisk (24th), and Bristol Myers Squibb (8th) being on the list.
Lentra, MakeMyTrip, and Redington Limited topped LinkedIn’s first-ever “Top Midsize Companies” list in India, according to the ranking.

SaaS platform Lentra topped the list of midsize firms in India (250–500 workers). A number of firms that are based in India are also included in the list: MakeMyTrip (ranked #2), Professional Assistance For Development Action (PRADAN) (ranked 7th), Nykaa (ranked 9th), and Dream11. There are plenty of prospects in a variety of areas for job seekers in India, including tourism, financial services, social impact, and fantasy sports.
According to LinkedIn, the ranking of companies is based on eight criteria that have been shown to promote career advancement: the capacity for advancement, skill development, company stability, external opportunities, company affinity, gender diversity, educational background, and employee presence in the nation. The list is derived from LinkedIn data.
