Salesforce: India Has a Chance To Leapfrog Into Generative AI Areas

According to Arundhati Bhattacharya, chairperson and CEO of cloud-based software supplier Salesforce India, India has the chance to advance quickly in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI.

She also tried to allay worries that AI would cause widespread job losses, although she cautioned that employment may alter in nature, necessitating reskilling and upskilling of talent pools.


Therefore, India does have the potential to advance faster in terms of generative AI. She remarked during a media event, “Now, how far and how long that will take is anybody’s estimate… Generative AI is something that’s evolving… it’s not something that’s entirely mature.

Bhattacharya highlighted India’s benefit of a big talent pool as well as the digital public infrastructure when he remarked that the country’s overall climate is “very supportive”.

The Aadhaar, UPI, and healthcare systems that make up the “India stack” are unavailable in the majority of nations. We have a significant edge over most other nations because of the public goods space that exists in India, she remarked.

The introduction of Salesforce ‘Starter’ for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) enterprises in India was announced on Tuesday by Salesforce, a major leader in customer relationship management (CRM).

Starter is a user-friendly CRM that combines sales, service, and email outreach capabilities in one package to help businesses get off the ground and provide them with the resources they need to enhance customer experiences, save expenses, and increase income.

According to the firm, “Salesforce Starter combines the usability, flexibility, and security that companies need to scale their businesses more quickly and improve ROI, and it’s all in one suite with helpful guides for customers to set up and go live.”

Starter will also benefit organisations by providing streamlined enrollment, guided onboarding, and a revamped checkout experience that makes it simpler to add new users to Salesforce, the company said.
