Strong buyer confidence in housing: Magicbricks
NEW DELHI: According to a Magicbricks poll, the nation’s Housing Sentiment Index (HSI) is still solid and has high buyer confidence despite inflationary pressures.
With an overall HSI of 149, Magicbricks’ poll of more than 4,500 consumers conducted between March and April 2024 in 11 locations indicated a favorable market outlook for the residential real estate industry.
Driven by improved infrastructure and impending new real estate developments, Ahmedabad received the highest reading at 163, followed by Kolkata (160), Gurugram (157) and Hyderabad (156).
According to the survey, customers with an annual income of Rs 10-20 lakh had the greatest desires for house ownership, while mid-age professionals (those in the 24-35 age range) exhibited the highest HSI (154). According to the report, the majority of purchasers want to buy a property within three years, indicating a positive outlook for the industry.
