The 16th Finance Commission is accepting consultant applications

Applications for contract positions as consultants and young professionals were accepted by the Sixteenth Finance Commission on Friday.

Regarding this, the commission has posted the application form, terms of reference, eligibility, and compensation on fincomindia.nic.in.

The Ministry of Finance disclosed application details, stating that interested parties may only submit their completed application by email to the Director, 16th Finance Commission at [email protected], with a copy to [email protected], indicating their interest in being appointed as Young Professionals and Consultants on a contract basis within the Commission. Please do not provide a physical copy for this reason.

According to the information provided by the Commission, the Consultants would be hired for a certain amount of time to either provide excellent services or handle particular, deadline-driven tasks for the Commission.

The consultant would initially have a one-year contract.

In addition, an application will sometimes be examined by a committee or senior commission officials.

Manoj Panda, an economist, has been appointed to the Sixteenth Finance Commission as a full-time member, the Center has said.

On December 31, the Commission was established by the Government, with Arvind Panagariya, a professor at Columbia University and a former vice chairman of Niti Aayog, serving as its chairperson. A month later, notice was given to Ajay Narayan Jha, Annie George Mathew, Niranjan Rajadhyaksha, and Soumya Kanti Ghosh, the other members of the Commission.
