The Zee Entertainment board is restructured, with Punit Goenka leading the domestic division

The Zee Entertainment board approved an organizational restructuring on Wednesday, one day after pulling their petition to execute the canceled $10 billion merger with Sony from the NCLT. Punit Goenka, the company’s CEO, would now oversee domestic operations. In addition to leading the digital business, his son Amit Goenka has been assigned responsibility for the corporate technology vertical and the worldwide broadcast company.

The firm released a statement saying that Anurag Bedi has been requested to continue leading the music business, while Umesh Bansal has been given responsibility for the cinema industry. The senior Goenka, who will be in charge of the domestic broadcast division, will be the one to whom all three will answer. Movies, music, digital, and broadcasting are the four main verticals.

According to the corporation, Junior Goenka will continue to oversee the digital division and have more responsibility for enterprise technology, broadcast operations, and engineering.

Samrat Ghosh, who has been heading the Eastern cluster, will now also be heading the Northern cluster and premium channels, while Siju Prabhakaran, who oversees the Southern channels, will have extra responsibility for the Western cluster; In addition to continuing to oversee the Hindi movie cluster, Ruchir Tiwari, Vishnu Shankar, and Ashish Sehgal will now report to the junior Goenka and be in charge of integrated ad sales for the broadcast and digital business.

The board chairman, R Gopalan, said that the lean organizational structure seeks to streamline the firm in order to increase productivity across all divisions.

The senior Goneka said that the goal of this reorganization is to create an autonomous team under the direction of seasoned executives who will propel the company forward.
