WhatsApp Update: Unsaved Contacts Can Now Be Called Using the In-App Dialer Feature

The messaging software WhatsApp, which is widely used globally, is working on an in-app dialer function to solve the problem of contacting contacts who haven’t been saved. The goal of this new feature is to make calling from inside WhatsApp easier by doing away with the requirement to save numbers in the address book of the device.

With the help of this new function, users will be able to make calls straight from WhatsApp, which will be helpful for short-term purposes like business meetings or brief questions without having to permanently save contacts. Convenience will be increased with the in-app dialer, which enables users to make calls without leaving the app.

By allowing voice calls via the internet, this feature is anticipated to improve the user experience. This is particularly useful for international communication. For consumers that have access to Wi-Fi or reasonably priced data plans, in particular, it provides an economical substitute for regular cellular network calls.

A leaked image reveals the possible layout of the in-app dialer, even though the feature is still in development and will likely be released in a later update.

Apart from the in-app dialer, there are reports that WhatsApp is developing a tool to enhance the efficiency of managing favorite contacts. Soon, users will be able to immediately add, rearrange, and delete their favorite contacts and groups from inside the app’s settings. This feature is planned for a later release with the goal of improving user convenience by streamlining the calls tab’s favorite contacts and group access.

Users should proceed with caution while awaiting additional developments, since WhatsApp has not officially acknowledged these functionalities.
