Hero MotoCorp Unveils Xoom 160 and 125R Scooters at EICMA 2023: Everything You Need To Know

At EICMA 2023, Hero MotoCorp recently unveiled a variety of new models and ideas.

Among them were the scooters, the Xoom 160 and Xoom 125R, which are scheduled to be on sale in March 2024. Other concepts were also unveiled during the event, such as the electric Vida cars and the Xtunt. This year’s EICMA 2023 will take place from November 7 to November 12.

Details of the Hero XOOM 160 Maxi-scooter

At EICMA 2023, Hero MotoCorp debuted the Xoom 160, the company’s first 160cc maxi-scooter. The 156cc liquid-cooled engine of the Xoom 160 has i3S Technology and a silent start. In addition, it has a dual chamber LED headlight, split LED tail lights, and block-patterned MRF Zapper Kurve tires on 14-inch wheels. The scooter has keyless starting, remote seat opening, and a “Find My Scooter” option for enhanced convenience. This maxi scooter is expected to be available in March 2024. It will compete against the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Aprilia SXR 160.

XOOM 125R HERO: DETAILS

The Xoom 125R is Hero MotoCorp’s attempt to get into the sporty 125cc scooter segment. A brand-new 125cc engine, 14-inch alloy wheels with MRF Zapper tires, and a fully digital speedometer with Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation are all included in the scooter’s setup. It also adds sequential LED blinkers to that region. Aggressive bodywork of the Xoom 125R is reminiscent of the Xoom 110. March 2024 is the planned launch date.

Hero showcased its Vida V1 Pro e-scooter with its ICE goods at the esteemed trade show. The Vida V1 Pro is now offered in a “Coupe” version, with the rear seat eliminated. Mechanically, it is still the same as the model that is currently on sale.

Hero also intends to launch the Vida brand in Europe and the UK, first concentrating on three countries, with further plans to come. Hero is said to have closed distribution agreements in the UK, Spain, and France so far. Furthermore, Hero plans to start doing business in the middle of 2024 and then launch its premium range of gasoline bikes and scooters in these nations.

Hero also showed the prototype Lynx e-dirtbike under the Vida brand. Weighing just 82 kg, it boasts a peak power output of 20.4 horsepower. A 3 kWh battery pack can power the bike for around an hour. Hero not only has the Lynx on exhibit, but also the Acro electric bicycle for children.
