After two weeks of dancing to “Mere Dholna,” Vidya Balan said, “It took time to just memorize sargam.”

The actress Vidya Balan said that mastering the dance routines for the song “Mere Dholna” took her two weeks, and that it took a significant amount of effort only to memorize the song’s sargam.

 

Along with her co-star Pratik Gandhi from “Do Aur Do Pyaar,” Vidya made an appearance on the stage of the kids’ singing reality program “Superstar Singer 3.”

Warrior Commander Prabha Lall of the Indian Navy also made an appearance on the program to offer her support to Nishant Gupta of Gurugram, Haryana, and Devanasriya K of Kozhikode, Kerala.

She thanked Vidya, shared her personal story and the difficulties she had encountered, and asked Nishant and Devanasriya to sing “Mere Dholna.”

Originally performed by Shreya Ghoshal and MG Sreekumar, the song is from the 2007 comedy horror film “Bhool Bhulaiyaa,” which also stars Vidya and Akshay Kumar.

The dynamic pair, accompanied by their captain Mohd Danish, enthralled everyone with a breathtaking performance that was a captivating exhibition of ability.

Vidya shared, amazed by the performance: “I appreciate you performing this song. It’s one of my all-time favorites, and I’ll be appearing in “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” once again. I was ecstatic to hear from you all. You two did a wonderful job delivering that prelude. How much practice do you two get together? You gave such a polished performance, as if you had been doing this for a very long time. May God reward you both for an amazing performance.

“You know, when I performed this song, it took a good amount of time just to memorize the Sargam, and it took me two weeks to dance to these songs,” the actress, who was last seen in “Neeyat,” said. And here you are, in only four days, as vocalists, mastering it. That is really amazing.

Super judge Neha Kakkar, who was astounded by the performance, said, “Historic indeed.” Danish, you’ve performed really well. Furthermore, these two children are unaware of how amazing they were. It’s almost unreal. They gave a fantastic performance, singing with such enthusiasm. I’m in shock.

Pratik echoed Vidya’s observation, saying, “You guys handled this difficult song very well. It seems as if you have spent countless lives getting ready for this. Furthermore, it is simply amazing how well you two mentor and mentee. Danish Bhai, you have such a fantastic staff. I’m excited to see this group play on larger platforms.
