Amitabh Bachchan expressed worried over Jackky Bhagnani’s weight gain

When his father produced Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda and was helmed by David Dhawan, actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani was hardly a teenager. The movie was a huge hit at the box office. Now, 26 years later, Jackky is completely remaking the show, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in his rendition of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which is being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar of Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai fame.

During the film’s initial production, the actor-producer revealed anecdotal information in an exclusive interview with ETimes. He said, “I was 150 kg and in my seventh standard. I recall Amit uncle saying to me, “Aap aise bhi badh rahe ho aur aap aise bhi badh rahe ho” (You are not only growing tall but you are also growing from your waist),” while we were at the hotel and I had gained more weight. Aside from ChiChi (Govinda) Bhaiya and Amit uncle having a great time on the sets, there is one instance from the movie that I can still vividly recall.”

Jackky told us to wait till the movie’s premiere when we inquired whether we could hear any of the music from the original movie. On April 10, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar, and Alaya F, will be released in honour of Eid.
