As a mark of respect for the late art director Nitin Desai, Akshay Kumar delays the release of the OMG 2 trailer: “This is a terrible loss”

In order to honor the passing of seasoned art director Nitin Desai, Akshay Kumar and the producers of his forthcoming drama OMG 2 have delayed the release of the movie’s internet trailer. The OMG 2 teaser was supposed to be up online at 11 am on Wednesday, August 2, but the production team delayed it out of respect for the renowned art director.

On his Twitter page, Akshay Kumar announced the news, expressed sympathy for Nitin, and said the trailer had been postponed till Thursday, August 3. “Unbelievably sad to learn about Nitin Desai’s passing,” he wrote. He was a pillar of production design and an important member of our film community. This is a great loss since he contributed to so many of my movies. We won’t be releasing the OMG 2 trailer today out of respect. It will debut tomorrow at 11 a.m. OMG Shanti.

On Wednesday morning, Nitin Chandrakant Desai, a prominent Bollywood art director best known for monumental films like Lagaan and Jodha Akbar, was discovered dead at his own studio in Karjat. The seasoned art director was discovered hanged. Age-wise, he was 58. According to an E-Times story, investigators have not definitively determined the reason of his death, but they suspect suicide. At the moment, the matter is being examined.

Ajit Andhare, a producer of the forthcoming comedy-drama OMG 2, mentioned the movie’s approval with the fewest edits on Tuesday. “Happy to share #OMG2 is cleared & we are set for a release on the 11th,” tweeted Ajit on Twitter. No significant cutbacks, just a few adjustments that are usually a part of the process. I’ll see you shortly at the movies.

Since the movie’s trailer debuted, it has been making headlines. Starring Yami Gautam, Akshay Kumar, and Pankaj Tripathi, OMG 2 is directed by Amit Rai. In the movie, Akshay will play the part of Lord Shiva. On August 11, the film is slated to hit theaters; it will compete alongside Rajinikanth’s Jailer and Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2.
