For Tharun Moorthy’s Directorial, This Veteran Actress Reunites With Mohanlal After 20 Years

Mohanlal and Shobana, one of the most well-known and beloved on-screen duos in the Malayalam cinema industry, will reunite after a protracted 20-year hiatus. On Friday, Malayalam actress and Bharatnatyam dancer Shobana posted a short clip on her official Instagram profile, along with some information about the forthcoming film.

Shobana said in the description of her picture that she took a four-year hiatus from the profession and is returning. “Four years have passed like four minutes,” it says.

The actress can be seen in the video clip saying hello to her fans and announcing that she is working on a Malayalam film again after a lengthy hiatus. She also conveyed her delight for the same project, noting that Mohanlal would be appearing in yet another movie. She also added that Mohanlal’s forthcoming film, L360, is the 360th film in his career and is directed by Tharun Moorthy. This will also be the on-screen couple’s 56th movie together.

Because she has collaborated with a number of regional celebrities, including Mammootty, Suresh Gopi, Jayaram, and Mohanlal, the actress has become well-known in the Malayalam cinema industry. The Bharatnatyam dancer has made appearances in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada films in addition to Malayalam productions. She has already been nominated for many Filmfare Awards South, one Kerala State Cinematic Award, two National Film Awards, and many more honors throughout her cinematic career.

She has acted in films like Manichitrathazhu, Nadodikkattu, Thenmavin Kombath, Pavithram, TP Balagopalan MA, Rangam, Minnaram, Vellanakalude Nadu, Ulladakkam, and Maya Mayooram, among others, given her on-screen relationship with Mohanlal. After a number of these movies, the two were previously seen in the 2004 film Mampazhakkalam.
