The close-knit relationship between Shah Rukh Khan’s family and Chunky Panday’s is well known. In a recent interview, Chunky Panday discussed his friendship with Shah Rukh Khan and expressed his deep admiration for the superstar.
He further said that when they went on vacation to London or Dubai, he preferred to stay at a hotel rather than Shah Rukh’s home.
When taking a holiday overseas, Chunky Panday doesn’t choose SRK’s opulent residences.
Chunky Panday gave his explanation for choosing a motel over Shah Rukh Khan’s opulent holiday homes in an interview with Lehren Retro.
He said, “Yes, Shah Rukh’s homes in Dubai and London have hosted Bhavana and other guests. Although I prefer to stay at hotels, I have also spent a few nights at his residence. Though I know I would be kicked out of their home in two days due to my untidy nature, I would really want to stay at someone’s house. However, I have stayed at Shah Rukh’s home. His homes are beautiful. I’m rather pleased with him.
Chunky also explained why he calls himself a miser in jest. He said that he began referring to himself as a “miser,” or “kanjoos,” because he wanted people to speak about him and he felt excluded. He remembered when he really started being frugal.
The actor from Housefull 2 said that everyone want to stop smoking cigarettes back then. He packed his own pack of smokes since no one else brought any to the settings. After that, each person would take a cigarette out of his pack, and he saw that five or six of his packs would run out each day. That’s when his frugal ways started.
Chunky Panday claims to have predicted Shah Rukh Khan’s rise to fame.
The Jawaani Jaaneman actor said in an interview with Time Out With Ankit that he was certain SRK will go on to become a huge success.
He explained his reasoning, saying, “You can sense that fire because he had it in him. It’s what he’s always had. He had that gift from the beginning, even before he rose to fame.
