Karan Patel Talks Openly About His “Darkest Phase”

The Bollywood debut of actor Karan Patel is scheduled for the upcoming movie Darran Chhoo. The actor who won over viewers with his performance in the hit TV program Yeh Hai Mohabbatein spoke up about a trying time in his career. He described how his actions caused the popular TV program Kasturi to be canceled. He said in an interview with Pinkvilla that after getting the main role in Kasturi for the first time, he had become overconfident and felt invincible.

I thus believed that I had outgrown my boots and that I had become a TV program celebrity. Only to have the program (Kasturi) end and learn that nobody is larger than the medium and that nobody can be saved. A novice cannot be larger than the project he is working on, and not even Khan Saab (Shah Rukh Khan) can be greater than his flicks, the actor stated.

Karan even acknowledged being late to the stage and drinking throughout his performance. True, he said, “absolutely! Be strong enough to own it if you were foolish enough to do it. I committed all of these errors, but I also learnt from them.

With the upcoming movie Darran Chhoo from filmmaker Bharat Ratan, Karan Patel will make his Bollywood debut. The movie’s trailer and poster have been made public. Manav Awasthi, a middle-class person struggling with life’s difficulties, is played by Karan Patel. He is conflicted about what to do with his marriage, work, family, love, and money. In the trailer, Karan Patel can be seen on a scooter disclosing the identify of his character, introducing himself, and discussing the difficulties he faces in life.

The movie also stars Ashutosh Rana, Smriti Kalra, and Manoj Joshi in the key roles in addition to Karan Patel. On October 13, the movie is scheduled to open in theaters.

The excellent acting career of Karan Patel includes roles in a number of well-known TV series. He has performed in a number of reality TV programs, such as Fear Factor Khatron and Ke Khiladi Darr Ki Class. The actor rose to prominence, however, in 2013 when he and Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya co-starred in the hit Indian television series Yeh Hai Mohabbatein as the enduring Raman Kumar Bhalla.
