Hip-hop musician Chris King was brutally assassinated in Nashville, and many others, including Machine Gun Kelly, Justin Bieber, and Trippie Redd, lamented his loss

Rapper Chris King, who founded Snotty Nose Records and had strong relationships with Justin Bieber and Trippie Redd, passed away tragically early on Saturday morning in a Nashville shooting. His age was thirty-two.

According to Nashville murder police, King—real name Christopher Cheeks—was with several pals at 2:30 a.m. CT when three people attempted to rob them. King and his companion, who is 29 years old, were shot during the incident. They ran off in opposite ways, and even though the victim, 29, was eventually located and given medical treatment, King was pronounced dead when he got to Vanderbilt Hospital.
Love for the late rapper, who was born in Fontana, California, was abundant on social media. King and Bieber used to share a house. Bieber posted on Instagram about his loss, writing, “Love you bro,” along to a picture of the two of them cuddling and a broken heart emoji. This one aches. Please remember to pray for his family. Brother, I’ll see you in heaven.

Redd, who was regarded as King’s closest friend, posted many images of the late rapper on social media on Saturday. He posted the pictures with a statement that captured his utter sorrow: “I am so hurt rn I can’t even think I love you bro come back!!!!!” On Sunday, he shared a more extensive homage on Instagram, saying, “Original 1400 I love you till we meet again twin! Without @whoischrisking, I would not be in this position right now.” Redd acknowledged in the caption that King had introduced him to Milo Stokes, the founding partner of Create Music Group, and Elliot Grainge, the CEO of 10K Projects. He always exuded the nicest enthusiasm. It was evident he had a large social circle. I adore you all for standing behind my brother, who is one of my closest friends ever.

Keke Palmer honored King by posting a picture of the two having a Facetime chat on Instagram. “Christopher King! everything’s really ideal since this is how everything started, even if I wish I had more pictures,” she added. “Our iChat conversations from back in the 2Much days with you and Marcel. Whoa. It’s unbelievable that I’m bidding you farewell. This is very bad. Really, I’m at a loss for words. I wanted to let you know how much I loved you and how much I still cherish our walks in the grove and city.

No matter what room you were in, everyone was drawn to you and wanted to be friends. Your generosity was evident everywhere. Until we cross paths again, you will be missed. Rest in peace, my brother.

On April 8, King debuted “Seeing Double Seeing Double,” his last composition. The well-known rapper was in Tennessee for the Nashville Cannafest’s Friday night performance.
