Meet the actor who worked as an air hostess before going on to become a model and feature film star Shah Rukh Khan

On March 2, 1973, Vidya Malavade was born in Maharashtra. She is Smita Patil’s niece, the seasoned actor. She worked as an air hostess at first. Following this, she entered the modeling industry and was selected for a few commercials by ad director Prahlad Kakkar.

Inteha (2003), starring Vikram Bhatt, was her feature film debut; nonetheless, it was a box office disaster. In 2007, Malavade received her big break in the film Chak De India. Shah Rukh Khan portrayed the coach, and she performed the roles of goaltender and captain for the Indian women’s national hockey team. Additionally, Vidya was a major character in the Imran Khan and Sanjay Dutt movie Kidnap.

The actress remembered the tragic event and said that she was in Germany when she learned of her husband’s death in a previous interview with Siddharth Kannan. She had difficult periods, but she used yoga and meditation to maintain control over her life.

Malavade quit her work as an air hostess to pursue a career in modeling for motion pictures. Afterwards, in 2009, she wed Sanjay Dayma, who directed the movie Ramji Londonwaley.
