Numerous Workers Hurt on Eddie Murphy Film “The Pickup” Set

On Saturday, while shooting an action scene on the set of “The Pickup,” a number of crew members suffered injuries.

Currently in Georgia, the feature film from Amazon Studios is being shot. On Tuesday, the studio revealed that many individuals suffered injuries during the production of the second unit scenario.

A studio representative said, “Unfortunately, the sequence did not go as planned and several members of the crew were injured as a result.”

According to the Associated Press, a truck “locked up” and struck a vehicle out of the blue. The report states that two individuals were admitted to the hospital with injuries ranging from fractures to bruising.

In addition to Pete Davidson and Keke Palmer, Eddie Murphy also appears in the movie. The AP claims that none of the three were present on the scene when the incident occurred.

Amazon said that it was currently looking for further details.

The spokeswoman said, “We are still gathering information on what happened and why, but our first priority is with those who are recovering.” “Our top priority is the safety of the entire crew and cast, and we will not compromise on the highest industry standards of safety during the filming process.” Every safety measure was examined before the filming and kept an eye on while it was happening.

The union that represents crew workers, IATSE, said that it was investigating the matter as well.

The union released a statement saying, “IATSE is aware of an accident that took place on the Georgia set of ‘The Pickup’ and have started an inquiry.”

Filming for “The Pickup” took place at Shadowbox Studios. Production of second units was apparently halted on Sunday.

Update: The original version of this article said that the injuries happened during a practice. It was not a rehearsal, according to Amazon, but rather a rehearsed scenario.
