On Day 10 at the Indian box office, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan brought in Rs. 440 crore

The box office success of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is unstoppable. Since its release, the Atlee-directed film, which also features Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Deepika Padukone, has broken records. Jawan has amassed more than Rs 400 crores in India alone in barely 10 days. Early estimates have Jawan’s total box office receipts to date at Rs. 440.48 crore.

On Saturday (day 10), Jawan reportedly made an estimated Rs 31.50 Cr net India. The Hindi version of the movie had a 37.29% total occupancy rate, with evening and nighttime showings drawing the most viewers. In Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Mumbai, and NCR, there were significant collections. The total occupancy for the Tamil version was 33.51%.

The budget for Jawan was about Rs 300 crores, according to Atlee. “I narrated the movie during Covid hours through a Zoom call. I am aware that moviegoers were fewer in theaters, and no one was willing to approve even a picture with a budget of $30–40 million. I am aware since I am a producer as well. But despite much skepticism, Sir (Shah Rukh Khan) approved a film that cost Rs 300 crore. However, we didn’t stop there. We went farther. At the Jawan success news conference, he declared, “We built a blockbuster in three days, and now we are soaring.

Support for Jawan has come from celebrities and admirers all throughout the nation. The movie has impressed everyone, including Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh as well as Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar. The central character of Jawan is a vigilante trying to get vengeance on corrupt politicians and a businessman who put women in prison. Shah Rukh Khan plays two characters in the movie: Azad, a jailer, and Vikram Rathore, a soldier. In the movie, Deepika and Nayanthara portray his respective love interests. The conclusion of Jawan hinted to a potential sequel.
