Partial security breach: Delhi court informs police upon request for a copy of the FIR

Producer Siddharth Tewary of Shrimad Ramayan discussed the impending television adaptation of the Hindu epic and explained his support for a mythological series after criticism of Prabhas’s Adipurush earlier in the year. Siddharth discussed Om Raut’s Adipurush in an interview with India Today, expressing that he ‘loved’ that modern viewers are sensitive to everything related to religion and history.

“I know it’s difficult.”
In response to the question of whether the “negative noise around Adipurush” ever made him second-guess his choice to create a Ramayan-based program, Siddharth said, “I think that is the reason why I am doing it.” Not that I made the decision, but I believe we should do it right now (smiles). It just took place. However, this is the ideal situation to inform others about the original tale. I believe I can share this with a great deal of pride even though I know it’s difficult and there will be responses.”

The producer of historical and mythological television programs like as Radha Krishna, Mahabharat, and Porus, Siddharth, said of Shrimad Ramayan, “We are not cutting any corners when it comes to VFX, story, and casting. TV viewership is a mass medium.” Devotion, Bhakti, and vastness would all remain unaltered. In order for it to be loved and appreciated over the next 20 years, we want it to be accurately represented and understandable to everybody.”

Backlash against Adipurish
The story of Lord Ram’s triumph against the demon king Ravana, who had abducted his wife Sita, is told in the Ramayana. The three major protagonists in Adipurush were Janaki (Kriti Sanon), Lankesh (Saif Ali Khan), and Raghav (Prabhas). Ever since it was published in June, Om Raut’s Adipurush has been enmeshed in controversy.

The actors and crew of the movie faced several challenges, including criticism for its “cringeworthy” speech and Nepal’s ban on Bollywood movies due to an “objectionable” phrase from Adipurush. But months before that, in October of last year, when the trailer for the movie was revealed, several viewers made fun of the visual effects and cartoonish visuals.
