Boney Kapoor Discusses How Son Arjun Kapoor Was Affected by His Separation From Mona Shourie: He Had To Face The Bully At School

The son of producer Boney Kapoor, Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor, has openly discussed the emotional toll that his parents’ divorce had on him. In a recent interview, Boney discussed the same things and said that his kid was the target of bullying at school.

For those who don’t know, Boney was previously married to actress Sridevi and Mona Shourie Kapoor. At the time of their divorce, the couple was the parents of Arjun and Anshula.

The Maidaan producer described Arjun as the family’s most resilient member, even though he has faced obstacles in his personal and professional life.

He revealed to Bollywood Hungama that his son was going through difficult times when they were apart, saying, “I feel he is the strongest in the family, although where life is concerned, where career is concerned, he has been through some kind of turmoil.”
Arjun Kapoor persevered in the face of a “major setback.”

Mona was left behind, so he had to take the burden in school.

Then, he suffered a great loss when his mother died. Subsequently, a few movies failed, which was still another significant setback. “It’s a great quality that he has absorbed everything and still has the strength to hold himself,” Boney said.

On March 25, 2012, Arjun’s mother passed away, many months ahead of his Bollywood debut. After her cancer struggle, multiple organ failure was the cause of her death.
Work front

Arjun is ready to work on No Entry 2 with dad Boney. Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh will also be in the much anticipated follow-up. Anees Bazmee, who helmed the 2005 film starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan, will be directing this one.
Ten female actors are reportedly set to feature in the movie as well. In December, it will be on display.
The father-son team is also working on personal projects.
