Preity Zinta and Sunny Deol appear in Rajkumar Santoshi’s “Lahore 1947,” and fans are thrilled about the actress’s return to Bollywood

After a long break from the limelight, the actress is making a huge comeback to the sets of “Lahore 1947,” starring Sunny Deol.

Preity surprised her admirers by posting behind-the-scenes pictures from the sets on her Instagram on Wednesday. Using an image of the clapper board from the movie, she posted, “On set for Lahore 1947.”

She also shared a picture of herself cuddling up to her director Rajkumar Santoshi while sporting damp hair.

With this movie, Preity and Sunny reunite after collaborating on films such as “Hero: Love Story of a Spy,” “Farz,” and “Bhaiyaji Superhit.”

Overjoyed followers inquired in the comments section, “Preity’s comeback?”

The announcement of “Lahore 1947,” a film being produced under Aamir Khan’s company, came last October. Although both performers have previously collaborated with Santoshi on independent projects, this was the first time Sunny and Aamir’s Productions worked together.

“I, along with the whole team at AKP, are most excited and happy to announce our next, starring Sunny Deol, directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi, titled ‘Lahore, 1947,'” said Khan and Santoshi in a joint release. We are excited to work with Raj Santoshi, one of my favorite filmmakers, and the very talented Sunny. Our current adventure seems to be really enlightening.”

Alongside Sunny, who triumphantly returned to the big screen with “Gadar 2” last year, actress Shabana Azmi will play a key part.
The filmmaker said that this was his “dream team,” expressing his delight about the movie, its cast, and having AR Rahman and Javed Akhtar on board for the production.
