In Seoul, EXO Honors Its Twelveth Anniversary With A Fun Fan Meet

Without a doubt, one of the most popular K-pop groups worldwide is EXO. On April 8, 2012, the third-generation boy band released their EP, Mama. The ensemble is a part of SM Entertainment. EXO commemorated their 12-year anniversary with its EXO-L followers on April 14. The supergroup performed during a fan meet at Incheon, South Korea’s Inspire Arena. There were two sessions for the event: one at 2 p.m. and the other at 7 p.m. Both Beyond Live and Weverse Live broadcast the 7 p.m. program live.

Fans from 103 different countries, including Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, China, the USA, Mexico, and more, participated in the online show. The 12th anniversary festivities were attended by six members of EXO, namely Suho, Xiumin, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, and D.O. Members Kai and Sehun were unable to attend due to their current required military enlistment.

The anniversary’s theme color, sky blue, was worn by many fans and EXO members alike. EXO played their greatest songs, including Peter Pan and Heaven, throughout the two-hour event. They closed the event with an encore performance of I’ll Protect You.

“We’re happy to celebrate the 12th anniversary together, and seeing the silver waves made by EXO-Ls after such a long time makes us happy,” the member, who was cited by Allkpop, stated in response to a query about the fans. Even though members are succeeding in their own endeavors, there is a lot of synergy when we come together as EXO. Please be excited for our upcoming return with new songs and performances as we prepare our future moves. Let us love without boundaries!

Twelve people made up EXO’s original lineup, split into two groups: a Korean group and a Chinese group. The members of the Korean squad, known as EXO-K, were Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun. The members of the Chinese squad, known as EXO-M, were Tao, Kris, Luhan, Xiumin, Lay, and Chen. In Mandarin, the Chinese team sang. Due to legal concerns with SM Entertainment, Kris, Luhan, and Tao, the three members of EXO-M, each departed the group on their own in 2014 and 2015. In April 2015, EXO shrank to nine members after they left. Since then, they have shared songs in Mandarin, Japanese, and Korean while still performing as a group. The group has released eight studio albums since their debut, which have together sold over 10 million copies.

All nine of EXO’s members are now successful solo performers, singers, songwriters, record producers, and actors. The group may make a much anticipated return in the following year after the members finish their military duty.
