Puneet Vashist discusses his second innings, overcoming his reputation as a “bad boy,” and adopting a positive outlook. “I own…,”

The actor Puneet Vashist talks candidly about his career’s second phase and even acknowledges his “calmer, positive” disposition. Puneet, who has portrayed gritty, bad boy parts in movies like Style, Fight Club, and All The Best, is thrilled with his new look and his role as epic figure Narad Muni in Laxmi Narayan and the television series Shiv Shakti: Tap Tyaag Taandav.

Puneet joins DNA India for an exclusive chat as he promotes his new show, Laxmi Narayan, and discusses his second innings. “This is a superb inning of my career, by the grace of God and my mother’s blessings,” the actor adds. Prior to my time on television, the filmmakers had only seen me in tough man, bad guy parts. However, I’m getting calls from fans who are shocked to see this side of me. ‘We’ve seen you torching ladies and protagonists, but you’ve really astonished us,’ they say. This is a fun time for me in my career.”

Puneet has made headlines in recent years for remarks he made against the film business and for saying things that even his supporters found surprising. The actor asserts, nevertheless, that he has changed and is now more optimistic about himself and other people. “Now I’m busy shooting Laxmi Narayan, but when I return to Bombay, people will know about this new Puneet Vashist, who has found himself and developed this calmness, love and respect, never judge anyone- attitude.”

Puneet continues, “I’m confident that people welcome me and push me further in my role as an actor. Being more receptive to new ideas and eager to learn would be wonderful. The fact that I’ve been employed in this field for 26 years doesn’t want to disturb me. I’ll always be willing to change and grow.” Laxmi Narayan made its debut on April 22 and will only be shown on Colors from Monday through Friday at 10:00 p.m.
