Raima Sen Responds To Threat Calls Regarding Upcoming Movie Maa Kaali: They See It As Exclusive Propaganda

Online trolls have attacked a number of celebrities, Raima Sen being the most recent. For Raima, too, things have become worse as she has been the target of threats for her upcoming movie Maa Kaali. The actress’s involvement in Raima’s next movie, which is based on the Direct Action Day on August 16, 1946, seems to have caused a stir. Sen has now responded to the threats and online harassment that she has been getting for days in an exclusive interview with Zoom.

In a special interview, Raima said that the disturbance could have been started by the Maa Kaali motion poster. “First the trolling started on social media with many pointing out, ‘We thought you are different’,” she said. “I guess they think I am doing a propaganda film,” she said.

Raima claims that this targeting began as soon as she participated in Vaccine War. Regarding the Vivek Agnihotri movie, the actress said, “But the point is that after they saw the film they calmed down and realised it is nothing like that.”

“A lot of things are being said, including the possibility that I’m getting into politics. However, I am simply an actress, and I think that any actor would have thrilled at the chance to play this part,” Raima said. “I have never been politically inclined,” the actress said. I’ve never been one to stir up controversy. It’s not good to be this negative and to be criticized based on presumptions.”
The actress did, however, confess that she is no longer bothered by this kind of trolling: “I’ve learned to ignore it. All I want to ask is that after seeing the movie, folks let me know if they have any helpful critique. but, not in this manner.”

Raima states, “Social media has both benefits and drawbacks. Even while technology has made life simpler, anybody can pick anything up and leave a remark quite easily. And simply act mindlessly and without consequence.”

The actress emphasized, “We really cannot do anything about it either.”
Raima claims that Maa Kaali is on a little-known incident in Bengali history, the Direct Action Aay on August 16, 1946. “I represent all the Bengalis in the movie, the refugees, the division, and the creation of Bangladesh,” she said. I stand in for them and the struggles they have endured over the last 70 years. “As a Bengali, I am honored to have worked on this film, which is about Bengal,” she said.
Maa Kaali, which was written and directed by Vijay Yelakanti, has Raima Sen and Abhishek Singh in the key characters. TG Prasad produced the film, while Anurag Halder provided the soundtrack.
