The makers of “Manjummel Boys” are suspected of cheating; Maradu police have opened an investigation

The makers of the popular movie “Manjummel Boys” have been accused of lying and breaking their word, thus the Maradu Police have acted against them. The lawsuit was brought about by a petition filed by Siraj Valiyathara of Aroor, who says he paid Rs 7 crore in the project in exchange for a 40% profit share. The case was brought about by an order from the Ernakulam First Class Magistrate Court.

The petitioner claimed that the producers had broken their agreement by not providing the promised profit-sharing following the film’s popularity, as reported by On Manorama. The petitioner filed the lawsuit because he claims he has not received any returns on his investment, despite several pledges.

Siraj claims in his plea that he signed a contract in November 2022 to provide Rs 7 crore in installments to the making of “Manjummel Boys.” He asserts, however, that the producers misrepresented the project’s entire investment, giving him the impression that it was far more than it really was.

Despite the fact that the movie purportedly brought in an astounding Rs 250 crores from box office receipts, over-the-top (OTT) sales, and satellite rights, the petitioner claims he has not received his fair portion of the proceeds. A legal struggle is in store for everyone involved in the making of “Manjummel Boys,” as seen by the complaint filed against the producers, which includes accusations of fraud and conspiracy.

Chidambaram is the director of the film, which stars Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Deepak Parambol, and several more performers.
