The reasons why Madhubala and Dilip Kumar were unable to wed

The Madhubala and Dilip Kumar love story began on the Tarana set in 1951, against the background of the golden age of film in the 1950s. In an interview with ETimes, Madhur Bhusan, the sister of Madhubala, said that if Dilip Kumar had shown regret to their father, Madhubala would have wed him.

Madhur said that Madhubala had persuaded Dilip Kumar to apologize on several occasions for the benefit of their relationship, but he had resisted. Dilip and Madhubala dated for nine years. She started filming for Naya Daur at this time. But her father was angered with the director, BR Chopra, who abruptly changed the location. The actress was sued by BR Chopra when she refused to finish the movie. While Madhubala supported her father’s choice, Dilip Kumar reportedly damaged their relationship by testifying against her.

After the legal issues were settled, Dilip Kumar proposed that Madhubala complete her upcoming film work before they started making wedding plans, according to Madhur.

Madhubala left the undertaking. Due of her father’s worries about her health and the lengthy outdoor shoot, Naya Daur left the 10-day shoot. After Vyjayanthimala assumed over, Ataullah Khan filed a lawsuit against BR Chopra. Dilip Kumar supported Chopra’s side in the court case.

Madhubala later wed the legendary singer Kishore Kumar, and the two of them traveled to London to get treatment for her heart condition. She unfortunately died after nine years. On the other side, Dilip Kumar wed Saira Banu, an actress. He died the previous year.
