Punjab would be included in Modi’s “Vikas,” according to Vijay Rupani

On Thursday, Vijay Rupani, the Punjab BJP’s organizational head and a former chief minister of Gujarat, voiced his belief that the Modi administration would bring in a new phase of development for the state.

According to Rupani, if the BJP wins the state handily and increases its total number of seats, the concerns facing the state and the voice of the people will most likely be taken care of. “The ideal combination for the welfare of Bharat and Punjab would be a BJP-led government at the center and 13 BJP MPs from the state,” Rupani said, presiding over a gathering of Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha workers in Tarn Taran today.

Manjit Singh Manna, the BJP’s candidate for Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha, said that the Vikas model is at the heart of the party’s campaign and that voters in the state and his seat share these views.

Alongside Rupani were the BJP’s national secretary, Dr. Narinder Raina, state general secretary Manthri Srinivasulu, state general secretary Jagmohan Raju, cluster in-charge Bikramjeet Singh Cheema, convenor Manjit Singh Rai of the Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha, and co-convenor Naresh Sharma. Presidents of the districts of Tarn Taran, Harjit Singh Sandhu, and Kapurthala, Ranjit Singh Khojewal, and Shamsher Singh Kakkad, also attended from Ferozepur.
