The unvarnished and rustic depiction of Samarjit Lankesh in and as Gowri

A pre-release trailer for Gowri, the next film directed by Indrajit Lankesh’s son Samarjit Lankesh, has been released. A unique strategy in Kannada movie, cricket player Anil Kumble and producer Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar released the teaser. It provides a first look at Samarjit Lankesh’s role, and the producers are officially announcing that the rookie is portraying Gowri’s lead role for the first time.

“In the movie, which is based on true events and has a rural setting, Samarjit will play a simple, down-to-earth character. The director explains, “A shade of his will be seen as an angry young man,” and he shows CE some behind-the-scenes photos of Samarjit from the movie.

Renowned Kannada and Bollywood stunt guru Ravi Varma choreographed the action for the pre-release teaser, but Samarjit Lankesh worked on the film’s stunts.

According to Indrajit, Anil Kumble launched the pre-teaser for certain reasons. “My son Samarjit, who worked with Anil Kumble on a soap opera, is excited about the cricket player revealing his pre-release teaser.” Regarding Ashwini, it dates back to earlier generations.

I had a unique bond with Puneeth Rajkumar, and my father Lankesh was close to Dr. Rajkumar. Samarjit, a dancer himself, has always admired Puneeth’s style of dancing and has incorporated it into his own. Because of this, Ashwini’s participation at the inaugural ceremony was much more meaningful, he adds.

Saniya Iyer, who made the switch from television to the big screen, will likewise use the movie as her springboard. Sweezal, who is starring with Chandu Gowda in her feature film debut, is joining her. Gowri will also have cinematography by AJ Shetty and combat choreography by Different Danny. A few music directors are working on the movie’s soundtrack, including Chandan Shetty and Jassie Gift.
