Mani Ratnam’s period-thriller Thug Life, starring Kamal Haasan, is one of the most anticipated films of 2024. The movie has already created a great deal of excitement among online users. The producers were unable to start shooting schedules earlier because of several postponements, but it seems that the dynamic pair is finally prepared to go into full shooting mode.

Famous cinema reviewer and commentator Sreedhar Pillai announced the good news on his social media site X early on April 23. Sreedhar claims that after finishing up a number of Thug Life’s action-packed scenes in Jaisalmer, including some intense action sequences, the crew intends to begin filming in Delhi.

Additionally, it has been claimed that Kamal Haasan will be joining the Delhi shoot schedule. Given that the crew also plans to film some significant action scenes in Delhi, the shoot schedule is likely to go longer than one or two weeks.

Rumor has it that Silambarasan TR and Gautham Karthik, along with other cast members, have already finished filming their scenes in Jaisalmer. As of right moment, the producers have not publicly confirmed STR’s foray into the historical thriller genre or Trisha Krishnan’s filming schedule.

Apart from Kamal Haasan, important roles in Thug Life are portrayed by Dulquer Salmaan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Jayam Ravi, Joju George, Nassar, and several more. Previous sources state that Dulquer Salmaan and Jayam Ravi withdrew from the historical project because of other work obligations.

However, neither the actors nor the side producers have offered any formal confirmation of this. There have also been rumors that Silambarasan TR has taken Dulquer’s position in the movie; however, these are only speculations that allude to his possible involvement in Kamal Haasan’s period-thriller.

Thug Life was written and directed by Mani Ratnam, with music performed by A R Rahman, photography by Ravi K Chandran, and picture editing by Sreekar Prasad. The action scenes were choreographed by the Anbariv team. Red Giant Pictures, Madras Talkies, and Raaj Kamal Films International collaborated to create the movie.
