For their upcoming Netflix series “Dabba Cartel,” actress Shibani Dandekar and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar are collaborating. The next drama, directed by Hitesh Bhatia, is about five regular women in Thane, Maharashtra, who use the ‘dabba’ (tiffin) delivery service to form a narcotics gang. Shabana Azmi, Jyotika, Farhan Akhtar, Nimisha Sajayan, Anjali Anand, Gajraj Rao, Lillete Dubey, Sai Tamhankar, and Jisshu Sengupta will all be featured.

Dandekar’s “Dabba Cartel” debuted in its initial form on Thursday at the Next on Netflix event in Mumbai. Through his production company Excel Media & Entertainment, Akhtar has supported the program.

“We enjoy telling stories, and working with Netflix has been a great experience. There are a lot more shows to look forward to.” This show is thrilling. At the ceremony, Akhtar said, “It’s a special show because Shibani created it, and this gives the show a special place in my heart.”

Dandekar expressed her satisfaction with her husband’s collaboration on the series, which began as a mere “tiny idea” in her mind. “The procedure has been drawn out. The intriguing aspect is seeing a little concept take shape when you collaborate with authors, Excel Entertainment, Netflix, and Hitesh Bhatia, she said.

“It takes imaginative and collaborative work to make the show come to life. It’s been the most bizarre experience. As a creator, I could not have hoped for more. It was a pleasure working with my spouse as well as the producers, Abbas, Kassim, and Hitesh. Working alongside my spouse as a creative, I couldn’t have hoped for more,” she said.
