“Without him, we couldn’t have created Predator”: Arnold Schwarzenegger recalls Carl Weathers

Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger gave a moving homage to the late actor and Carl Weathers, his co-star in “Predator.”

Schwarzenegger posted a nostalgic photo on Instagram with the comment, “Carl Weathers will always be a legend.” An amazing person, an amazing athlete, and a wonderful actress. Without him, Predator would not have been possible.And we most definitely wouldn’t have enjoyed ourselves as much while creating it. On set and off, every minute spent with him was utterly delightful. He was the kind of buddy that makes you want to give it your all in order to stay up with him. His family is in my thoughts and prayers, and I will miss him.”
In the film Predator, Arnold Schwarzenegger as Dutch, a soldier, opposing Weathers as Dillon. The plot revolves on a group of commandos who must battle for their lives in a jungle after an extraterrestrial warrior crashes on Earth and starts pursuing them. According to PEOPLE, the movie started a series that has had several spinoffs and sequels. The most recent of them is the 2022 release of Prey.
In addition to “Predator,” Weathers starred alongside Sylvester Stallone in the “Rocky” series.
According to a statement from his family, Weathers passed away on Thursday.
Carl Weathers’ family released a statement saying, “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Carl Weathers.” He passed away quietly on Thursday, February 1, 2024, while sleeping. Carl was a remarkable individual who had a remarkable life. He has had an enduring impact on movies, television, the arts, and sports, and he is well-known both internationally and among different generations. According to Deadline, “He was a cherished brother, father, grandfather, partner, and friend.”
