Discover THESE 5 simple eye workouts to safeguard your eyesight

The eyes get fatigued from prolonged computer use or extended study sessions, but stress may also impair eyesight. When faced with a stressful circumstance, do this practice on your way to work or whenever you feel stressed out to avoid covering up your beautiful face with bulky spectacles. Here are some short and simple exercises you may do in your spare time to safeguard your eyesight and give your eyes a break.

1. Practice Relaxation

This is a good workout to help relieve your eyes from too much strain. This is something you can do at any moment. First, massage your hands together, and then swiftly lay them over your eyes. The area in front of the eyes should be black. After a little while, take your hands off of your eyes and gently open them.

2. Blink too quickly

This is a relatively simple activity to help relieve long-term eye strain. After at least three to four seconds of constant blinking, quickly shut your eyes. After some while, open your eyes. You’ll experience relaxation.

3. Cast a wide gaze

To do this, choose the object that is the farthest away from you and make an effort to view it. Spend at least five to 10 minutes doing this workout. This improves concentration and long-distance vision.

4. See the digit ‘8’.

This is a useful practice to improve eye flexibility. Concentrate on anything at least ten feet in front of you. Imagine the number eight in front of you, and keep your eyes on it. Move your eyes in accordance with the size of the lines in this number.

5. Magnify

This is a beneficial focus-sharpening practice. Pay attention to your thumb. Move the thumb gently in the direction of the eyes and then out of them.
