During this month, devotees fast, offer prayers to Lord Shiva, and ask for his blessings. This year’s Sawan month will span for two months, from now, July 4, to August 31, 2023. The gods Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are honored during this festival. Due to its length of two months and the opportunity for devotees to observe fasts on eight Mondays, this Sawan is exceptional and the most noteworthy in the last 19 years.

Foods to Eat and Drink During Sawan Fluids

Water, coconut water, fruit juice, buttermilk, and other liquids should be consumed throughout the day during fasting to keep the body hydrated.

One should only consume rock salt, which may also be utilized in cooking, for the whole month of Sawan. Other spices that may be added include cumin seeds, black peppercorns, red chili powder, and black pepper powder.

Take Nuts

You must continue giving your body the nourishment it needs even if you are fasting throughout the Sawan month. Therefore, you should eat fruits and nuts to keep energetic.

Non-vegetarian foods are prohibited from consumption throughout the month of Sawan.

One must abstain from ingesting any non-vegetarian items, including meat, eggs, and even alcohol, throughout the month of Sawan.
