A 20-year-old Telugu student in Kyrgyzstan perishes after being stuck in a frozen waterfall

A horrific event occurred near a waterfall in Kyrgyzstan that claimed the life of a 20-year-old Andhra Pradesh medical student. The student, Dasari Chandu, from the Anakapalli area, met an untimely end when he became stuck in the snow near the waterfall. On Sunday, after his test, Chanu and other university students visited a waterfall. He went into the waterfall with a few Andhra Pradeshi pals. But Chandu perished because he became caught in the snow.

A year ago, Chandu, a native of Madugula hamlet in the Anakapalli district, set off to pursue his goal of studying MBBS in Kyrgyzstan. Unfortunately, this unplanned disaster cut short his dreams.

The bereaved family, which includes his halwa vendor father, Bhima Raju, has appealed to the Indian government for assistance in returning Chandu’s body home. B. Venkata Satyavathi, the MP for Anakapalli, brought up the issue with Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, asking that the Indian embassy personnel in Kyrgyzstan move quickly to allow Chandu’s corpse to be returned to India.
