Cops Attempt to Track Down Two Free-Roaming Horses on Congested London Roads

Two army horses were apprehended and confined after being seen racing through the heart of London during rush hour on Wednesday, according to accounts from both police and the media.
Images and videos shared online and shown by British media channels showed the horses racing across congested roadways, avoiding cars, cabs, and buses.

One of the horses seemed to have blood on its chest and forelegs, while the other was clad in a saddle and bridle.

“Working with colleagues in the army to locate them” was the statement made by the Metropolitan Police in London.

Horses may be seen often outside government buildings on Whitehall, Buckingham Palace, The Mall, and Hyde Park in the British capital, as well as at the stables of many distinguished army regiments.

The Square Mile financial zone is patrolled by the City of London Police, who were notified about the free horses at around 8:40 am (0740 GMT).

“Our officers have contained two horses on the highway near Limehouse,” according to a statement.

“We’re waiting for an Army horse box to collect the horses and transport them to veterinary care.”

At least one soldier was hurt when up to five army horses fell off their riders during training, according to the Daily Telegraph.
