Drug overdose suspected in the death of Princess Beatrice’s ex-boyfriend discovered in a Miami hotel room

After a suspected overdose, Princess Beatrice’s ex-boyfriend was discovered dead in a Miami hotel room earlier this year. According to The Independent, the US municipal police department has verified Paolo Liuzzo’s identification as the guy who passed away on February 7 in the M Miami Worldcenter hotel. The police are investigating Mr. Liuzzo’s death as a possible “overdose death.”

A funeral was held on February 16 after his remains were returned by air to Long Island, New York. According to his death certificate, he was never married and worked as a consultant for the art sector.

According to sources, he had a history of drug use and significant debt from gambling. Mr. Liuzzo’s longtime buddy said, “Paolo was not doing great on a personal level.” He enjoyed going out and gambling. Initially, he used a lot of prescription medicines, but that eventually progressed to cocaine and other stronger substances. We were all worried that his fast-paced lifestyle would finally catch up with him. He was always taking out loans to pay them back. It turned into a vicious circle.

He was previously taken into custody in Australia for a number of offenses, one of which was cocaine possession.

As the daughter of the disgraced Prince Andrew, the princess began dating Mr. Liuzzo in 2005, when he was 24 years old and she was 17. When Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson asked him to go skiing with them in Verbier, their friendship became public.

But when it became known that he had been ordered to return to the US for violating the terms of his probation after an assault conviction, the pair called it quits in 2006.

Princess Beatrice married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, a real estate businessman, in an unexpected private wedding in 2020 that had to be canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak. In September 2021, she gave birth to her first child, a daughter.
