“Food prepared by Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, contained drops of toilet cleaner.”

NEW DELHI: According to Mashal Yousafzai, Bushra Bibi’s spokesman, the former first lady of Pakistan and wife of imprisoned former prime minister Imran Khan reportedly had two to three drops of “toilet cleaner” sprinkled into her Iftar meal on February 24 at Shab-e-Barat. Bushra Bibi’s health deteriorated after eating the dinner, according to Yousafzai, and it has been getting worse every day since her incarceration.

Bushra Bibi was found guilty of two separate crimes and is now being imprisoned at the Bani Gala mansion, which has been turned into a sub-jail. Yousafzai questioned who was stopping the authorities from doing Bushra’s medical tests and why they hadn’t been done despite the court’s three-week instructions.
She said that an endoscopy had shown ulcers and inflammation in Bushra’s stomach, but that the authorities had prevented her from having a blood test performed, which would have shown any potentially harmful substances.
Yousafzai also said that Bushra Bibi had discomfort in her left arm and chest a few days before and that the prison doctor had taken an abnormal ECG, but it took several hours for physicians from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) to come and examine her.

She stressed that Bushra Bibi, as the PTI founder’s wife, is being attacked despite her being a homemaker and not a politician.
However, Bushra Bibi got a thorough medical checkup last week at a private hospital in Islamabad. Dr. Asim Yousuf, Khan’s family physician, watched as she underwent a number of diagnostic procedures, including endoscopy, ultrasonography, echo, and ECG.
According to hospital sources, Bushra Bibi’s medical reports were approved by the physicians, and her sole medical condition was a small gastrointestinal problem. Notably, throughout her six-hour hospital visit, the former first lady declined to provide a blood sample or have her blood tested.
