Former White House Covid Czar: “Life-Changing Innovations Happening in India”

An ex-high-ranking White House official had nothing but admiration for India, praising the nation for its contributions to vaccine research during the height of the Covid-19 outbreak and for its homegrown discoveries.

There is a lot of anticipation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first official trip to Washington, said to Dr. Ashish Jha, a former White House Covid-19 response coordinator, who said there is only one week before his four-day visit.

“We warmly welcome PM Narendra Modi to the country. The relationship between India and the United States will improve as a result of this visit. The anticipation for his arrival is high, according to Dr. Ashish Jha, who spoke to news agency ANI.

The Indian-American doctor who was chosen to serve as the White House COVID-19 Coordinator in April of last year will leave the US government by the end of June.

Jha, 52, is coming back to Brown University, where he previously held the position of dean of the school of public health.

In the Indo-Pacific and the Quad framework, the US is an important strategic ally of India, according to the Ministry of External Affairs’ (MEA) annual report.

With the launch of Working Groups and projects targeted at providing public goods to nations in the Indo-Pacific vision last year, the Quad engagement gained pace and importance.

At the Tokyo Summit, PM Modi’s statement that the Quad was a force for regional and global good was affirmed, and the delivery of Made in India vaccines under the Quad Vaccine Partnership served as an example.

Dr. Jha told ANI that India is not only the manufacturing center of biotechnology, but is also becoming into the innovation hub. He praised India’s domestic efforts in the area of vaccine development and other technologies.

“During the epidemic, we saw great, game-changing discoveries being made by indigenous workers in India, including the creation of vaccinations and testing methods that the rest of the world could adopt. The Indian-American doctor said, “India is not just the biotechnology industry’s center of manufacture; it is also the industry’s center of invention.

An ceremonial state supper at the White House and a one-on-one meeting with President Joe Biden are just two of the events that Modi will attend during his first state visit to the nation.

On June 20, PM Modi will take a flight to New York, where he will lead the festivities of International Yoga Day on June 21 at the UN Headquarters.

A state dinner honoring PM Modi will be hosted by Joe and Jill Biden.

On June 22 (Thursday), the prime minister will also speak to a joint session of the US Congress at the request of Congressional Leaders.
